2007년 결성된 T Bird & the Breaks는 오스틴의 뮤직씬에 폭풍처럼 몰아쳤다. The Continental Club을 비롯한 도시의 가장 유명한 클럽 무대에 헤드로 올랐으며, 오스틴 뮤직 어워즈(Austin Music Awards)에선 그 해 최고의 신인 밴드 2위를 수상, 오스틴의 대표적인 대회 ‘The Sound and the Jury’에선 결승까지 오른다. 그리고 이 모든 화제 속에 당연하게도 북미 최고의 음악 축제 사우스 바이 사우스 웨스트 (South By Southwest Music Festival) 쇼케이스 무대에 올랐다. 국내에는 원빈이 출연한 ‘맥심 TOP’ 광고 배경음악 원곡 ‘JUICE’의 밴드로 익숙하다.
